Welcome to the town of Velingrad!

After the traditional welcome with geranium and bread and salt, we invite you to a dinner in the Omar tavern with local dishes and folk music from Dorkovo and Kostandovo. Overnight at Velina balneological hotel***, located amidst a century-old pine over the Kleptuza protected area. Have a nice rest!

After breakfast - time for rest and entertainment in the heart of the Western Rhodopes Natural Park with possibilities for balneological procedures and swimming in the hot mineral swimming pool. Lunch in the restaurant of the hotel and we will visit the Centre for Business and Information to taste environmentally-friendly products made of wild fruit and herbs with opportunity for shopping at the traditional exhibition-bazaar of local crafts and applied arts. Departure for the town of Kostandovo where we will visit the workshop for handmade carpets and textile art. There you can see the biggest looms in Europe used for weaving some of the most expensive carpets in the world. Then we go to the village of Dorkovo - walk to the Tsepina fortress, one of the most important Bulgarian medieval strongholds in the Rhodope Mountains, a seat of despot Alexy Slav.
